About Me
Hi! My name is Nick Presley! My goal for this page is to show future employers what types of abilities, interests, and accomplishments I have, as well as to display various projects I've worked on so I have a chance for personal reflection every time I visit.
Accomplishments/Goals
I have a high school diploma, various LinkedIn Learning certificates in digital marketing, and was in the Boy Scouts of America, where I reached the Star-Rank. I also have had training in customer service in various retail jobs. I am looking to obtain a degree in Communications because it aligns with just about all of my talents. I have often been told that because of my strong speaking voice that I should go into radio broadcasting (or something of that nature). I also like to write stories, and am looking to improve upon my writing abilities so I can also improve my abilities to write a good story and how to better tailor my message for my intended audience.
Hobbies/Interests
Most of my skills as a writer come from my hobbies and interests! I love to play video games, read comic books, and LARP (Live Action Role Play). Through these various past times, I have been able to experience and interact with good stories, themes, and characters, which has enhanced my ability to tell a good story with strong themes, and after years of being a member of an audience, has helped me to better know my own audience. Additionally, my years of playing video games has made me dream of becoming a narrator, voice over artist, or script writer for games.
Background
I graduated from Murray High School in 2013. I am now a student at BYU-Pathways, seeking a degree in Communications.
Skills
I have a deep, strong speaking voice, which I have often been told is perfect for announcing, narrating, broadcasting, and recording. Every December at church, I am asked to be the narrator for the Christmas program. I am also hardworking, determined, and loyal. At my jobs, I have been Employee of the Month, I have received promotions to higher departments, and have even been given special bonus checks for hard work. In addition, I am a good writer. I love to tell stories and have often been complimented by readers on my various works of fan fiction.
My Mission
I have often been complimented on my deep, strong speaking voice, and wish to enhance my abilities as a public speaker to potentially gain work in that field. Therefore, I am looking to become a communicator who knows what audience I am speaking to, how to properly deliver messages, and how to speak efficiently and professionally.
